About Us

Do You Need Our Service?
If your customer or patient continues to ignore repeated requests for payment or your request for payment is returned in the mail or they pay the amount with a bad check and ignore your letters and calls, then the answer is YES, you do need our services.

General Account Service can be trusted to represent you. We have a solid reputation and great references from clients who will attest to our professionalism and service. We are aggressive with collections, but keep your image in mind. We provide you with reports and maintain regular contact. We maintain several professional association memberships, including the American Collectors Association International, which means we adhere to strict guidelines concerning honesty, financial stability and ethics.

How Does the Process Work?
After accounts are placed, they are entered into our computer system, which generates a notice to your customer/patient letting them know they have been turned for collection. The account is then assigned to our staff of professional collectors for personal contact by telephone or additional notices may be sent.

All efforts to collect your accounts are within strict guidelines set forth by various laws governing our industry. We have the ability to list accounts with a consumer credit reporting agency – which is done only with your authorization.

It may be necessary to seek legal action against a customer/patient. This is a last resort and done only with your written permission. Skip Tracing is part of our regular collection effort.

All monies collected are deposited in a Bank Trust Account and a Statment will be delivered by the 15th of the month following collection.

Placing Accounts for Collection
We can provide you with lister forms, which can be faxed, mailed or e-mailed to our office. You may also log-in to the client page of this site and place the information directly.

Reports
Reports are provided on a schedule which is mutually agreed upon. Reports can also be provided at other times via special request. Our reports can be customized to meet your specific needs.
